You Know - Friend

When I see you coming, I
will look another way, and try
to be a dear, that thing is clear.

When I see you coming, I
am thinking light, my worry by,
and I am kind, and sensitive, to find.

Friend, what can I tell you,
you seem to be my faith,
and my silly glory, too,
by any wraith.
Happiness on earth,
where we live, and are of worth,
we believe and we leave it to achieve.

When I hear you being clear,
I will get wise, I think, and praise
all cold I bring, I think of proof and grace.

When you smile, I get to file
an envelope and to keep up.
And I get so, that it is time to go.

Friend, what can I tell you,
you seem to be my faith,
and my silly glory, too,
by any wraith.
Happiness on earth,
where we live, and are of worth,
we believe and we leave it to achieve.

Surely, life is difficult,
and surely easy not
is to gain the result.

You, my friend make wonders,
and I see what you have got.
And what to be, one ponders.

Honour to the Lord,
which only not is reason got,
though who is light,
and who is sight, and right.

You know, friend, when I see you
I reckon too, that thing to do,
there is manner which is to afford.

Friend, what can I tell you,
you seem to be my faith,
and my glory, too,
by any silly wraith.
Happiness on earth,
where we live, and are of worth,
we believe and we leave it to achieve.
